Videodiary: JAPAN 2016
I always imagined Japan as another world. Bustling streets, neon lights, crowded subways, comically cute everything and maybe a robot serving my ramen. Sitting high on my 2016 bucket list, May rolled around and everything came to fruition. Tickets were booked & camera was loaded. I had only heard great things from the culture to the food, but I had to see it for myself. 16 hours of flight time later I finally made it to Japan.
“What planet are we on?” I remember saying to myself as I stepped out of Narita International Airport. I thought the seemingly non-stop, overcharged energy would be too much for me, but I felt completely at ease. Away from the famous karaoke bars and outrageous outfits, there was an overwhelming sense of nature, calm and tradition.
